Our “Image of the Child”

How close am I to the child? How do I sense what is happening with the child? We build on the child’s wishes, abilities, and needs. How can we support the child so that they develop a stable, positive self-image and self-confidence? By lovingly challenging and nurturing the strengths of the children, any weaknesses are thereby compensated.
Children’s behaviors are, for us, value-neutral and are seen as expressions of how children learn—we view the child as an individual, as a unique being.
